When renewing our troop subscription, we have a bunch of scouts that have advanced out of our troop or have moved. It is making us renew with all the previous scouts. How do we drop the scouts before we renew our subscription? We don't wan to pay for scouts we are no longer tracking.

Courtney/David, you have to go into each adults profile and tell it to send the invite. We recommend going to the roster page and click the gear icon to select show parents. Then, right click on each parent to select open in new tab. Then, you can cycle through them all doing one click at a time.

Brandon, I recommend select a den named "inactive" and move all of these scouts into it. Then, you can edit the den and disapprove it. This will keep them available to you in case they come back but not count against your subscription.

Then, once you recharter and they are no longer on your roster in IA, you can zero out their payment log balance, ensure all awards are marked approved and awarded, remove all connections to them except their parents and yourself, change their unit type to none, and finally remove your own connection to them.

I'm the LDS Stake Scouting Specialist and have just been given the approval from our Stake Leaders to create a Stake Account and begin the process of migrating all of our Scouting units (cubs, 11yr old Scouts, Boyscouts, Venture Crews, Varsity) onto the newly formed Stake account. Some of our units are already on Scoutbook, some are still totally on paper and some have solutions like Scout-tracks, Troopmaster, etc. I'm new to scoutbook so this will be a learning curve, Stake leaders are also taking a special interest in Duty to God and Faith in God tracking. Looking over the tutorial I have a number of questions on how to proceed. We currently are looking at around 300 youth throughout the Stake and growing rapidly.

Question 1: To setup a new unit you need to have a position, can I add myself as a CM as a new unit leader?
Question 2: For units already doing Scoutbook, if they add me as an administrator will that be good enough to migrate onto this new Stake account? How do we formally close out the old account and what is the best way to do that?
Question 3: For the New Stake account, do I setup the account as a standard unit setup and do I do this under my profile or something different? If standard setup, how do I migrate units onto it?
Question 4: Help! :-) I'm not even sure I'm asking the right questions, but our goal is to setup the new Stake account by end of this year and start migrating units to it. Is this possible and is there a tutorial or something you can point me to for information to assist with the learning curve? Any advise is appreciated and thanks in advance for your time.

I have a situation where two wards are combining packs together. How would I set this up in scoutbook? Do I have each ward setup an account for their own pack? If so, we have leaders from both wards, how can each ward be admins on both accounts? Or is it best to create one account/unit for both wards? We are currently testing this out with our trial period and have not purchased subscriptions yet. We're hoping we can make this work for both wards. Please let me know the best way to proceed.

I keep trying to add a leader but it won't let me. It keeps saying choose a den but the den is grayed out. I have set up the den because on the dashboard when I select the the den it shows the members. Suggestions???

Is there a wait time on the roster showing up after you start a subscription for the first time? I can see my old cub scout information, however I added a boy scout troop and I am seeing nothing regarding it.

I have been designated by my pack to the be the IT Admin and assist with getting the pack setup in ScoutBook. What position(s) do I need to make myself in order to be the admin? Officially I am a committee member but not a Den leader or cubmaster. Scoutbook will not let me setup other positions which are not my own if I am just a committee member and “administrator” is not an option from the drop down menu.

RE: Edit troop, council and district.

Hi - I made an error in setting up the troop. I did not notice right away that "The Spirit of Adventure" council was used and not the "Mayflower Council". how do I edit that. I have the proper council and district in my profile, I just didn't notice the council was wrong....

Also the "patch" that shows in my profile is Knox and not Mayflower. I know there has been some transitioning from the Old Colony Council but not sure where that is and how that impacts.

Hesitant about uploading the Roster at this point because I made the error to the council and have the warning flag on the troop set up.
